The most difficult of the four IELTS exam parts is the writing section, specifically IELTS academic writing.

The IELTS exam is extremely expensive - around AUD$460 for the whole test, and AUD$290 for the One Skill Retake. 

Failing the test just one time can be a disaster for many people, not just because of the cost, but also because of the lost time. Unbelievably, some people fail the test multiple times without trying to fix their problems.

Some students even miss a whole semester of university because they could not pass, potentially costing many thousands of dollars.

Instead, it is definitely a better idea to spend a little bit of money to make sure you achieve your goal the first time round.

Of course, the answer to this question depends on you.

However, we generally find that if a student starts the course at around 5.0 or more, and if they study hard, 7.0 is definitely possible. 

Some of our students even manage to score 7.5 or 8.0 in a few weeks of study. 

If they can do it, you can too!

A lot of other IELTS teachers, especially the ones you meet for online lessons, are not fully qualified and do not have real classroom experience.

Anthony has taught IELTS full-time for ten years, and has used 3 different textbooks in this time. He has found the best methods and tricks to easily beat IELTS writing.

There are a number of reasons. 

The most important one is flexibility. If you are working, or have other study commitments, online study just makes more sense. You can study in the weekend and at night after when you have a little bit of free time.

Secondly, choice. If you decide to attend classes, you will be limited in your choice of teachers. If you are not living in an English-speaking country, you may have to accept an inexperienced or unqualified teacher. This could be disastrous for your final result.

Finally, cost. In Australia, one week of study at an IELTS college will cost over AUD$300. Our task 1+task 2 course is a little more than this, and includes all the knowledge contained in a 12-week IELTS course.
